| Carbon Offsetting > Carbons: If you could see them, you'd offset them |

When you go to the beach, do you leave your garbage on the beach? How about at a campsite, or in your own home? I'm sure you pick up after yourself, right? Then why do we continue to litter our atmosphere with carbon and not do anything about it? Is it simply because if we don't see it we don't think it exists? Kind of like the lung cancer problem right? Well now we can do something about our Earth's lung cancer. It's called Carbon Offsetting.
I know we're all already trying to reduce our carbon emissions; maybe we're using less electricity, recycling more, driving less, hanging our clothes out to dry, the usual things, right? But it still isn't enough and we can't be expected to stop living completely, can we? So what do we do? Well now's there a way for us to pick up after ourselves. It's called Carbon Offsetting; which was designed "to make it simple and affordable for individuals and organizations to have an impact on climate change now." (How it works)
Simply use the carbon calculator at CarbonFund.org or any other carbon offsetting site and you're off. They'll calculate how much carbon you're emitting and how much you need to invest to help keep our skies clean. The offsetting company will use your investment to support carbon-reducing products like renewable-energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects, all of which you get to choose from. And since the problem is a global problem, the carbon-emissions you invest to offset have the same effect no matter where the world it takes place and no matter what kind of technology is used. ˇ°reducing a ton of CO2 in Brazil or North Dakota has the same climate change benefit as doing so in your backyard.ˇ± (Why Offset)
For the last couple of years, I've taken advantage of tax time to sit down, check out the carbonfund.org site to determine my carbon footprint, and pay my dues to help save the planet. To tell you the truth, it's pretty easy, and CHEAP! So there's not excuse for anyone not to do it. For example, the average American can become CARBON NEUTRAL for only $99 per year! That's less than $10 per month! Isn't it worth giving up 2 cups of coffee per month to save the world? If you don't agree with me, then please leave this web site, I doubt anything here can help you. If you do agree, then please, visit CarbonFund.org every year to pay your dues and invest in our future.
